About this policy

Thryve Property Co Pty Ltd (Thryve Property, we, us or our) handles personal information in connection with our website and our property management, leasing and sales services. This policy explains the information we collect, why we need it, how we use and share it, and how you can contact us about your privacy.

Information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect your name, contact details, property address, enquiry details, inspection or booking preferences, identification documents, tenancy and ownership information, payment records and information you provide in correspondence. Our website may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, pages visited and access times. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry and avoid sending identification or financial documents through a general enquiry form.

How we collect information

We collect information when you contact us, complete a form, register for a viewing, request an appraisal, book a conversation or use our services. Information may also be received through the property, application and communication platforms used in delivering those services. Where we collect information from another person or organisation, the purpose and circumstances will depend on the service involved.

Why we use your information

We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange appraisals and inspections, provide property management and sales services, communicate about properties and tenancies, maintain records, coordinate maintenance and service providers, process relevant transactions, meet legal obligations and improve our website and services. If you do not provide information needed for a particular service, we may be unable to provide that service.

Who we share information with

We may share relevant information with service providers and contractors who assist our operations, parties involved in providing the service you request, and legal or regulatory authorities where required or permitted by law. This can include providers of property systems, website hosting, forms, booking tools, email, customer relationship management and business administration software. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Cloud services and overseas access

Some members of our team, and some of the cloud-based business systems we use, may access or store information from outside Australia, depending on the provider and service. Contact us if you have questions about these arrangements.

Tenancy database checks

Thryve uses the National Tenancy Database (NTD) in connection with rental application checks. Information relevant to a check may be provided to the database operator and results may be considered as part of the application process. The National Tenancy Database is operated by Equifax Pty Ltd. You can request a free copy of your own tenancy report through the Contact Us page at tenancydatabase.com.au or by calling Equifax on 13 8332. Contact us if you have a question about a check or believe information is incorrect.

Cookies, embedded tools and other websites

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, preferences and usage information. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work as intended if cookies are blocked. Forms, calendars, property applications, videos and links may involve third-party services with their own privacy policies. Please read those policies when using those services.

Marketing choices

If you receive marketing from us, you can use the unsubscribe option in the message or contact us to ask that it stop. Service communications about an existing enquiry, property or tenancy may still be necessary. Your marketing choices do not prevent you contacting us about our services.

Artificial intelligence and automation

We may use AI-assisted tools for drafting, summarising, administration, marketing and workflow support. These tools may process information relevant to those tasks. AI assistance does not remove our responsibility for handling personal information. Questions about the use of AI or automated processes in a particular interaction can be directed to Alicia using the contact details below.

Security and retention

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, loss or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information may need to be retained for service delivery, record-keeping, legal or dispute-resolution purposes. Contact us with a question about the records held in your circumstances.

Access, correction and complaints

You can contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Requests will be considered within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.

If you have a privacy complaint, tell us what happened and how you would like it resolved. We will review the concern, seek any further information needed and respond to you. If it remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to ask about available complaint options.
